HAKI Course

We had an interesting day out at Haki Scaffolding this month, where we took part in their new #GetHooked campaign showing us innovative solutions that can not only save time but increase safety and productivity across all trades! Definitely something we are very interested in…

A big thanks to Haki Scaffolding for inviting us!

SeaBro and Safety and Training

As we are always keen to keep ahead of the game with regard to Safety, we made the decision to start 2017 off on a positive note and train all of our site operatives in Emergency First Aid. We have currently trained 44 in January, 16 were already trained and the remaining men will be training within this first quarter.

Not only that, we have now rolled out a new Induction Process whereby all men starting with SeaBro will receive this course within their first three months.

This award is based on Attendance, Practise and Attitude. Well done guys! Unfortunately, due to the in house altercation, all awards have been revoked!!

Health & Safety Reward

This award is given by the Health & Safety team to reward anyone who consistently shows a good level of Safety awareness.

The person who was chosen to receive this month’s award was Jack Courtney-Morris because he has been observed working in accordance with our recently issued toolbox talks assisting in the unloading of vehicles on site. He did so with all the correct safety equipment whilst under the supervision of the lorry driver.

Great work Jack! £100 to you.

Unloading Lorries…

Everyone should be aware by now of SeaBro’s fall arrest policy whilst unloading a lorry. A recent incident brought to light that this is not always followed. A key reminder for you all; the lorry drivers are ultimately responsible for their lorry and are at all times in charge and should be supervising. No access is permitted to the back of the lorry without using the restraint provided.

Should anyone feel the need to be reminded of this in full, please contact Jason, Karl or Grant who will happily give you the relevant Toolbox Talk.

Please be safe!!
